Het Al Bayt-stadion biedt plaats aan maximaal 60.000 toeschouwers. Het is uniek met zijn gigantische tentstructuur die het hele stadion beslaat en is vernoemd naar bayt al sha’ar – tenten die historisch werden gebruikt door nomadische volkeren in Qatar en de Golfregio.
Het ontwerp van het stadion eert het verleden en heden van Qatar en is tegelijkertijd een toonbeeld van groene ontwikkeling en duurzaamheid. Na het toernooi wordt Al Bayt teruggebracht tot 32.000 zitplaatsen
