A session of bilateral consultations between Morocco and Norway was held in Oslo, on December 9, 2022, conducted by Mr. Redouane Adghoghi, Director of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, and by Director General of Regional Affairs at the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Vebjørn Dysvik.

The bilateral consultations followed the meetings held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Nasser Bourita, and the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Anniken Huitfeldt.

The bilateral consultations were attended by Ms. Nabila Freidji, Ambassador of His Majesty the King to Norway, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Morocco, Mr. Sjur Larsen.

It was agreed to further strengthen the bilateral relations and consultations on issues of common interest. The Norwegian side confirmed the intention of Mrs. Huitfeldt to visit Morocco at the invitation of Mr Bourita.

This ministerial visit will provide an opportunity to develop the partnership further, based on shared values and mutual respect, and serve as a basis for strengthening dialogue, political, economic and cultural relations, as well as trade and investments.

At the regional and global level, the two countries will continue, as promoters of peace and stability, their consultation on the strategic interests of each country and issues of common interest.
