HM THE KING CONGRATULATES NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF COLOMBIA
HM King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Gustavo Petro, on the occasion of his election as the new president of the Republic of Colombia.
In this message, the Sovereign expresses His warm congratulations to Mr. Petro and His sincere wishes for success in his high office to achieve the aspirations of the friendly Colombian people for more progress and prosperity.
In this message, HM the King voices Morocco’s interest in pursuing joint action with Colombia to consolidate friendly relations between the two countries and establish fruitful and constructive bilateral cooperation, so as to serve the interests of the Moroccan and Colombian people and contribute to strengthening cooperation between the countries of the South.
« Today, more than ever, we are called upon to step up efforts to confront the various challenges that may arise with determination and resolution », wrote the Sovereign.
