The Minister of Education meets with her Algerian counterpart in Algiers
Her Excellency Mrs. Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education and igher Education, met with Dr. Abdel Baqi bin Zayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the sisterly People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, during her participation in the 18th Conference of Ministers Responsible for Higher Education and Scientific Research, currently being held in Algeria. The meeting was attended by his Excellency Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Naama, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Algeria. During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation in the fields of scientific research and innovation and ways to support and enhance them.
The Minister earlier visited the Research Centre in Industrial Technologies – (CRTI), where the center’s officials organized an introductory tour for her Excellency with a presentation in which they reviewed the most important inventions of the center and the scientific research they are currently doing

Qatar Olympic Committee, Ministry of Education Sign Cooperation Agreement
(QNA) – Qatar Olympic Committee signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the field of physical and sports activities and linking education with sports, in the presence of HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani, and HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al-Nuaimi.
The agreement involves the exchange of experiences, data and information in the fields of education, physical fitness and the relationship of education with sports, and the dissemination of sports awareness and a healthy lifestyle among students, through the adoption of a policy of exchanging experiences and capabilities at all levels in the field of school sports.
The agreement was signed by HE Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buainain and HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Nuai..

Qatar Students Win Medals
in ITEX, Malaysia
Students from the State of Qatar have “virtually” participated in the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX), which was held in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, during the period 13-14 December 2021. Qatar has participated with seven research projects in various scientific fields. Qatar’s participants have won three gold medals, three silver medals and a bronze medal.
ITEX is one of the major international competitions in scientific research and innovation, in which the Ministry of Education and Higher Education participates in collaboration with Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF). Qatar students first participation in this competition was in 2018 and with impressive results.
Qatar’s projects that have participated in the competition are those projects that have had qualified in the annual National Competition for Scientific Research and Innovation, which is organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in collaboration and with the support of QNRF, and with the participation of various entities such as the Qatar University Young Scientists Center, Qatar Scientific Club and the Qur’anic Botanic Garden.
The National Scientific Research Competition is one of the most important pioneering projects in providing students with a scientific and physical environment that meets their research needs, develops their scientific and cognitive skills, and provides the opportunity for their projects to participate in regional and international competitions.
