تمديد مهمة المينورسو

As in past years, this report addresses the recent developments in the Moroccan Sahara issue, both on the ground and at the international level

It provides an overview of the evolution of the political process since last October until now

The document also addresses the security aspects of MINURSO’s action, particularly with regard to its civilian activities and the challenges faced in implementing its mandate

The report examines the issue of human rights, highlighting assistance to the populations held against their will in the Tindouf camps, as well as the protection of human rights in the Moroccan Sahara and violations of fundamental rights and freedoms in the camps

The document provides recommendations, including, in particular, the extension of MINURSO’s mandate for a period of 12 months

The Security Council will meet on October 30 to adopt a new resolution on the Moroccan Sahara, which will be submitted by the U.S. penholder

وعلى غرار السنوات الماضية، يستعرض هذا التقرير المستجدات التي عرفتها قضية الصحراء المغربية، على الصعيدين الميداني والدولي.

ويقدم لمحة عن تطور العملية السياسية منذ أكتوبر الماضي، إلى الوقت الراهن.

كما يتناول الجوانب الأمنية المتعلقة بعمل المينورسو، لا سيما أنشطتها المدنية والتحديات التي تواجهها في تنفيذ مهمتها.

ويتطرق التقرير، كذلك، إلى قضية حقوق الإنسان، مستعرضا المساعدات المقدمة للساكنة المحتجزة في مخيمات تندوف، وكذا حماية حقوق الإنسان في الصحراء المغربية، وانتهاكات الحقوق والحريات الأساسية في المخيمات.

ويخلص التقرير إلى تقديم توصيات، من بينها على الخصوص تمديد ولاية المينورسو لمدة 12 شهرا.

وسيعقد مجلس الأمن اجتماعا، يوم 30 أكتوبر الجاري، من أجل اعتماد القرار الجديد بشأن الصحراء المغربية، والذي ستقدمه الولايات المتحدة، التي تشرف على صياغة هذا القرار…….map
